How to Install Roland Stika Plus STX 8 Driver for Windows 7




If you have a Roland Stika Plus STX 8 vinyl cutter and want to use it with Windows 7, you may have trouble finding the right driver. Roland does not provide a driver for Windows 7, but you can use the driver for Windows Vista instead. Here are the steps to install the driver and use the cutter with Windows 7.


  • Download the driver for Windows Vista from Roland's website.[^2^] Choose the version that matches your Windows 7 system (32-bit or 64-bit).



  • Extract the downloaded file and run the setup.exe file. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the driver.



  • Connect your Roland Stika Plus STX 8 to your computer with a USB cable. Turn on the cutter and wait for Windows to detect it.



  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and find your cutter. Right-click on it and select Properties.



  • Go to the Hardware tab and click on Properties. Go to the Driver tab and click on Update Driver.



  • Select Browse my computer for driver software and browse to the folder where you extracted the driver file. Click Next and wait for Windows to install the driver.
